Re-framing Your World

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways. Job 22:28 AMP

Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; 11 Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth. 1 Peter3:10-11MSG

Re-framing your world is about looking and relooking at where you and things in your life are now, adjusting words or, concepts or plans differently where needed for better days ahead. We should not be in the same spiritual place we were even five years ago or not be open to a new way of doing things. I got this from the Lord during prayer last week.

From the Lord

“You can get into a rut sometimes by doing the same thing the same way. I am the only one who changes not. You thought it strange not to be praying Long prays for certain situations. But have you noticed how diverse time frames have allowed you to pray for so many more people, places and things. You focus on what I say focus on and for how long too. That teaches you the highest form of obedience, which is a greater level of the anointing. When you settle in a place where you think you know what I’m going to do, daughter, you will absolutely miss me! Oh, it might seem to have accomplished the goal, but it may have hindered the hearts, and you miss a new way to be effective. ” God Re-framed my prayer life.

Your Words

Do you know your words speak life? Proverbs 18:21 ERV “The tongue can speak words that bring life or death. Those who love to talk must be ready to accept what it brings.” If you don’t like what you’re seeing, change what you’re saying. Let our words have a foundation of love and positive affirmations only all the time. Ever wonder why that child who always heard they would not amount to anything did not do well in life? Or statements like “I’m Broke, I’m robbing Peter to pay Paul. Or the one we all hear whenever we walk into a grocery store, “These prices keep going up,” etcPsalms 141:3 NIV “Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.” Even our prayers need to be re-framed sometimes. From give me Lord to Lord, show me where I have erred with my finances, relationships, etc. Move from complaining so much to Thanksgiving and praise. Cast out darkness when you see it; stop waiting for someone else to do it for you; do it yourself. Matthew 18:18 NLT “I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”

Your Giving

Giving is a covenant act. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Giving is a part of the believer’s worship experience and it is a law that will work for anyone. It goes beyond your initial gift; as the elders say, ” You can’t beat God giving”, the harvest always comes, or in a different form, such as in God’s favor or opportunity. I gave a seed above my tithe one Wednesday night during Bible study and agreed with the pastor’s prayer on the offering, and before the service was over, my harvest was in my bank account given from an unexpected source. Business and ministries can/do give tithes and offerings too and reap a harvest from the Lord. If you need to re-frame your giving, do it.

Your Actions

My dad would say, “Do what you want, but know what you’re doing.” That statement kept my siblings and others who heard it out of trouble growing up. It also helped frame many decisions I have made down through the years. God gives us free will to do what we want. We must think beyond our actions to see where the consequences will leave us. Knowledge, Responsibility, Accountability. Galatian 5:13 NIV You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh]; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” We should avoid making the same mistakes we made at 20 at 40, 50, or 60 years of age. Of course, we miss it here and there, and everyone does, but we have to be more discerning. How do we do this? Psalm 91:15 tells us that we call on God, and He will answer. We have to live in the spirit more now than ever. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God 1 John 4:1. We are responsible for our actions. Galatians 6:7-10 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.”

The Lord wanted to showcase the areas of our words, actions, and our giving this week. So much has changed and is happening in the world around us and in our personal lives that ordinary living won’t do anymore.
