I am Encouraged.

I give you thanks, O LORD, with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods. I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength. Psalms 138:1-3 NLT

Welcome to September 2023, the last month of the 3rd quarter of the year; Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, will take place this month, a new school year has started for students, and the fall season will happen for us in the USA. This is a time of encouragement, re-establishment, breakthrough, and promotion for those who will believe and receive it. 

Let’s take a page out of King David’s life from the book of 1Samuel 30: 6-8 “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” 

God is no respecter of persons; you may not be in the same place King David found himself in these verses, but life can be difficult and different sometimes. I ran into a young man the other day, and he said he was getting married this month and was feeling stressed out. So, whether happy or sad, take some time and encourage yourself in the Lord.  

I am encouraged and win in life – “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1John 4:4

I am encouraged and walk in the newness of life “And to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:24 ESV

I am encouraged and have no fear– “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4

I am encouraged and have great faith – “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:22

I am encouraged and walk in divine health– “LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” Psalm 30:2

I am encouraged that my children know the Lord for themselves, are blessed, and my family serves you, Lord Jesus – “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13,  Jousha 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

I am encouraged and protected from all danger– “No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:10-12

I am encouraged and have no lack– “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1

I am encouraged and grateful– Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psalm 100:4

I am encouraged and love my God– “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30
