Glory in the Highest!

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the LORD! Praise God in highest heaven!” Matthew 21:9

The celebration/remembrance of the passion of Christ begins today “Passion Week”.

Take a survey among your children and grandchildren ask them first do they know that today is Palm Sunday?    Depending on the answer, remind them that next Sunday is Resurrection/Easter Sunday ask then what does that mean.  No pressure, then have them commit to ask their own family (young or adults). This is the most important season in history, the world and your life.

If no Resurrection/Easter Sunday then what? Jesus is the way the truth and the light.  He is the only way to eternal life and your best life now John 14:6, John 10:9-10. Jesus came so you could have life abundantly on every level, living to be 102 years old seems to be a long time but it is nothing compared to eternity.  My mom used to make a statement “Hell is too hot and eternity is too long make sure you are going to heaven.”

In my youth, everyone went to church on that day. We looked forward to Resurrection/Easter Sunday for the clothes, candy, the Sunday school program, the citywide talent show and the TV airing of the Ten Commandments that evening. Although we may not have fully understood what Jesus went through that week or all that the resurrection of Christ gives us that day was a GREAT! Introduction/reminder. So many people came to Christ.

All the retail stores have had Resurrection/Easter Day campaigns going on for the last couple of months they are excited about how much they can capitalize on the holiday. Let us not allow them to acknowledge/celebrate this season more than we do.  “Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the LORD! Praise God in highest heaven!”💕

Invite someone to Christ this week!  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9 KJV
