Give & Take
Fall is here in the Midwest of America; leaves are changing colors and falling. We are resetting thermostats and taking warmer clothes out of storage… Things that prepare for the change of season. Some things are not season specific like giving/receiving or taking what God has provided for us. This week lets exercise some Give & Take. Focus on the area(s) that need the most attention in your life or community for example.
Give God the worships and praise due Him. Psalm 63
Give the enemy a reminder of the power Jesus has given you. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Give others the benefit of the doubt. Ephesians 4:32 NIV “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Also 1 Corinthians 13.
Give generously. Luke 6:38 “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Give extra prayer time for your country and the world. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Give all things with the right attitude and heart. Then take what God has provided for us as kingdom citizens.
Take/remember our place in God– For our citizenship is in heaven Philippians 3:20-21 and Colossian 1:12-13 which says, “Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
Take our Refuge – “As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 18:30 or “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Proverbs 30:5
Take your Healing – “Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,” Exodus 24:25
Take Comfort – “Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.” Psalm 71:21
Take your Desires – “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Make your own list based on the Word of God and take hold of all the things God had provided for you. Seasons do change; time moves on, the atmosphere in the world can be full of challenges. Just remember this, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is the same yesterday, today and forever. He ever lives to make intercession for us kingdom citizens. The provision is available for all our needs and a place in His presence for the asking.
If you are not saved or are backslidden stop now repent and ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart right now! He loves you and welcomes you.💕
