Enjoy Your Life

Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.“ Psalms 39:4-5

Psalm 39 is a Psalm written by King David it appears some scholars say at a time in his life when he was ill and started thinking about death. He thinks about how short life is, how one minute a person is here next minute it seems like they are gone.  However, in the process of his thoughts and writing he ask the Lord to let him live a little longer. Not sure, what age or place in his life this psalm was written in but it prompts the message for today.  Enjoy Your Life!

Lord help us to live each and every day to the fullest help us to stay in your care and lay hold of all that you have for us.  Give us the desires of our hearts Psalms 37:4. Forgive us for our sins, thoughts, actions anything that is contrary to you and the Word and how you have planned for us to live. Help us not to forget what John 10:10 says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10 NLT

Help us to enjoy our lives God help us to look at things in a grateful, beautiful way.  Not overlooking the simple things because we cannot get to that big thing(s) that we want right now.

Enjoy the season of summer we are in now. Take a second more to look at the flowers, enjoy long rides or short walks, and enjoy that ice cream cone, vegan cookies… Waterfalls, the warm sun and breezes or the smell of a well cooked meal coming from a street side cafe or the neighbor’s back yard to name a few things.

Enjoy the blessing of fellowship/serving our love ones young and old as too many are gone to soon. The simple things God.

Let us all decide to laugh a little more for the Bible says laughter works like a medicine Proverbs17:22.  Let us look forward to and enjoy our time with the Lord (our study time, devotions, prayers, church attendance and worship/praise).

Help us to live life without regrets Lord “It’s Unprofessional,” M says in the 007 movie Skyfall.   Let us focus on our best life now. God you can make the crooked places straight, restore the year’s… And can make our futures so bright that people need sunglasses to look at us.  Lord Jesus help us to value and enjoy our lives now! 💕
