Don’t be Naive!

1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.”

Revelation 3:8 – “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.”

When God is about to do significant things for you or through you, you’ll face significant opposition. Every door that God will open for you won’t come that easy; it will bring an avalanche of spiritual attack with it. The more effectual the door, the greater the opposition. When you experience great adversity, know for sure that a great door is about to break open. Don’t be naïve.   Rudolf E. Mensah

The above is an excerpt from a teaching I saw during my study for this message. “Don’t be naïve is where I stopped the quote as it is the message God has for us this week.  The word naïve means lacking experience, wisdom, or judgment. Have you ever experienced something that seems so out of place? Did it not add up? You had been doing well up until then, and everything started going crazy. Short notice it’s promotion time, and you have not gotten the memo yet.

See the enemy sees something that you don’t see, not the whole picture but a glimpse of significant progress, next-level promotion, and that is enough for him to want to stand in the way and block the door. As our text says, “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” Key in on the word great, meaning something big that will propel you to another level in life, and if the enemy is fighting you, know that you are on the right track. It is a spiritual battle and must be fought that way.

Jesus says in Revelation 3:8 – “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it” You are not the first or the last person who has/will experience opposition when moving to the next level. Remember, King David was anointed king but did not take the throne immediately and had to fight to get through the door. Just know this; you can’t be stopped unless you stop!  Also, Jesus said no man can shut the door He opens for you.

Step on up, don’t shrink back; Jesus also says this in John 10:9-11 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Don’t be naïve and think that it is over because you are in an unfamiliar place and under attack. Think about the last time God brought you out of a strange, problematic situation. But sister Theresa this so rough this time, remember the more productive the door, the greater the opposition. Get before the Lord, get in the Word, and enlist the people God tells you to get to cover you. Not everyone you know is a part of every battle. Bind and loose, cut out and off things and people as the Holy Spirit leads. Go to the spirit realm. 2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Go through the door yes what you are experiencing difficult but know it is temporal and will change. Go grab the blessing God has for you on the other side of the door.
