Checking for Leaks

1 Corinthians 16:13 “Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.”  

Leaks happen if you are a homeowner or even an apartment dweller, you have experienced a leak in the sink, the roof… Or in your car from the oil pan or some hose… or physically there’s this thing called leaky gut where the intestines barrier is impaired and if not treated it allows toxins to leak into your bloodstream all of the above if not treated can cause major problems and be a financial drain. 

Over the last couple of months I personally have dealt with five close family members having surgeries, prayer partner had a major fall, friends grandson getting shot, and a couple of people passing that I knew and a family emergency.    Six close family birthdays already this month, a wedding proposal for my nephew…  All this beyond the everyday stuff.  It has been an emotional roller coaster. 

I prayed about all these situations got scriptures on them and gave them all to the Lord.    According to Philippians 4:6-7.

However, I noticed over the last couple of weeks I have had an increased problem sleeping and anybody that knows me knows I close my eyes I am out.  Started asking Jesus what is going on and got this “In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. WOW! A flaming dart had hit me and my spirit man was fighting to fix that leak.   

Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  In addition, GI Joe says, “Knowing is half the battle”.  A few weeks ago we talked about the natural side of the battle of navigating this season of life. How ever when it is reveled that it is a spiritual battle your weapons and strategy has to change. See all those sleepless nights God lead me to pray in the spirit, recite/play warfare prayers, just get on my face just wait there and write down what I heard. God even directed me to specific messages on faith… to listen to or just play my praise song list. These things were building up my spirit man/me and were a spiritual can of stop leak.

People life can wear us down naturally and spirituality if we are not careful and mindful.  Some time we need to just stop, reflect and ask God what happening and add some times of refreshing which are so important to revive both the natural and the spirit part of us. Jesus took them, Paul did too (I believe that is how the leak got in with me).  

The Word says in in Matthew11:28-30 MSG “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

To God be the Lord all the surgeries were successful my friend who fell is doing well and I believe the people who passed knew the Lord so they are in glory now. Also had great interaction with those celebrating a day or moments this month.  God speaks to us in different ways he uses all kinds of things to get our attention. Do not overlook sleepless nights, or odd things happening to you I do not believe in coincidences. Get before the Lord and check it out you may have sprung a leak.💕
