Celebrate & Remember!
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14 NLT
Tomorrow is Christmas Day, and we all must celebrate and acknowledge the Son of God becoming flesh to live as a man and die for mankind. Everything in the Old Testament from Genesis 3:15 points to His coming as our redeemer. Isaiah prophesied about it; Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6-7, Zechariah said, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9
Micah told us where He would be born. Micah 5:2 The angel of the Lord brought the glad tidings to the Shepards in Luke 2:9-11 “And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
The Christmas story should never get old to us; it should ignite celebration, joy, hope, and expectation for all humanity. We should see the reality of it in the day that we live in more than ever. Take Simeon filled with the Holy Spirit and was constantly expecting the Messiah to come soon. For the Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen him Luke 2:25-26 and Anna anticipated His coming too. We should always remember and celebrate that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and be prepared for His return.
Merry Christmas Everyone
