Can We Talk?

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isaiah 1:18-19

“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? Psalm 42:1-2

In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry came before him, even into his ears. Psalm 18:6 KJV

Communication is powerful. It is the imparting or exchange of information.  God communicates all the time through creation, the Holy Spirit who we have been studying for a few weeks and He communicate through visions, dreams…, even billboard for me.

Bidirectional communication is where information is transferred in both directions for example a text, email… The Word of God is a form of communication too it speaks, instructs… the Word gives us many examples of what God requires of us, desires for us, what has/ will happen.  But with all that He wants a personal relationship with us, one that is strong, ongoing, and intimate.

We all have our best friends, confidants, that “go to person(s)” that we trust. Ever looked for them and they were not available or did not quite understand what you were going thru/saying and we’re not as excited as you are about a person, place, situation, or thing.  Jesus is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24, John 15:13-14.

I love those “He Gets Us” commercials they have on TV now do you know that the two spots that ran during the Super Bowl cost $100 million. They are being done to promote Jesus and the Christian faith. Some would say that’s too much, but you have got to realize how valuable we are to God and how God can personally relate to each of us no matter what we are facing in the Joy and the Pain of life.

Ever notice how just a conversation can change things.  Had a conversation with a person I had not spoken to in over 20 years.  God impressed upon during prayer to call, I was reluctant to do so not knowing how I would be received but I did it and we ended up talking for hours. Oh yeah, I can talk that long.😊

Check this out many of you/us have been talking to Jesus about everything for years, and have found Him to be the Absolute best confidant, mentor, listener, friend you could ever find and He is always available to talk.  Matthew 28:18-ESV says this “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”  Everyone needs this friend He is one of a kind!

In case you missed it the message today is Jesus is inviting you to a conversation with Him one I sense you really need to have. 💕
