Weekly Devotion:

Light is Always Better!

There is a lot of stuff going on in the world, this nation, your family, your life.

There is light and darkness in this world.  God says in Matthews 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Luke 11:35 says Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Ever been walking around your house in the daytime with all the lights on in the house? The entire house is illuminated and you just continue to do what you are doing from room to room.  If you have lived in your house for many years like I have even in the middle of the night you can go to the kitchen grab some water… without touching a light switch.

Do you know that although you are very familiar with the layout every now and then you still may bump into something because it is dark. In addition, if the bump is hard enough you may lose balance and/or even fall. King Solomon said, “I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness.  Ecclesiastes 2:13

This can happen to us in our spirit man too.  We can get to familiar.

Grow weary in the waiting, stay angry to long and/or depend on what we currently know about a situation and not realize that the cloud has moved and our guiding light the Holy Spirit said stop or turn days or weeks ago… or is yet saying hold on a little while longer.

In John 8:12 “Then space Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followed me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

We have the light of life by, praying about everything, forgiving, hearing & obeying God and saying only what the Word of God says.  Making course corrections as the Holy Spirit is leading.  Trusting that the master to knows what is best for us. Embracing new/fresh revelation from God to name a few things and remembering that light is always better. 💕
