Praise Him!

O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1

Want God to rush into your presence? Start praising; God loves it. Enter the place in praising God where you forget about yourself, and everything else becomes unimportant. Oh, get into the habit of this position, and you will enjoy and live the scripture that says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good.” Tasting involves your mouth; even if the most delicious dessert or entrée has not reached your lips, you can sense it before and reflect on it for a time after.

It is such a wonderful thing to praise our Lord and Savior Jesus. The table is always spread. You can come in famished and always leave full. You are pushing back, saying enough, then taking one more bite. This praise will not increase your waistline or keep you from sleeping because you indulged after your eating deadline.   As a matter of fact, it will help you lose the weight of things like worry and fear and can encourage you to move on. It has a price, as does most things, but it is one that all can pay anytime.

Praise anywhere (remember God is a God of order), alone or in a group, scheduled, or that spontaneous Hallelujah while washing the dishes, in the car, on the playground, or in a hotel room. I got stopped by the police once because I got caught up in a praise song, my foot got heavy, and I exceeded the speed limit. The judge was kind, so there was no mark on my driving record. I’ve since learned to pull over.

Psalm 63:3-4 says, “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.” So, everyone, go for it, whether your hands are up, knees bent, eyes wet, or you are speechless in His presence. God inhabits the praises of His People.   Praise Him!
